CEWiT Summit: Protecting Her Tech

On Friday, March 1st, the IP Legal Clinic team participated in the Center of Excellence for Women in Technology (CEWiT) 2019 Summit. Their talk, ‘Protecting Her Tech: What, When, and How of Intellectual Property,’ discussed what intellectual property is, how it can be protected, how to avoid infringing the intellectual property of others in this interactive workshop, and local pro bono services that are available to Indiana inventors and entrepreneurs.

Professor Norman Hedges, (Director, IP Legal Clinic), Alyssa Eckerley (’18; Faegre Baker Daniels), and Xan Smith (Administrative Assistant for the CIPR) were joined by Tiffany Roman, co-founder of Round3 (a collaborative peer feedback platform), to walk through how the IP Clinic assisted Round3 in identifying and protecting their intellectual property.
