Emily Pence (’13) (Mayer Brown, Chicago) will be on campus today as part of the CIPR’s IP Practitioner-in-Residence program. In addition to attending IP classes, Emily will be giving a lunch talk at noon in Rm 213, and will be available for informal meetings with students throughout the day in Rm 340.
Emily Pence is an Intellectual Property associate in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office. She assists both established and emerging clients on intellectual property matters related to copyrights, domain names, trademarks, trade secrets, social media and websites. Emily’s experience includes advising on trademark and copyright registration; intellectual property enforcement, including state and federal litigation; and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, complex licenses, and joint development arrangements.
Before joining Mayer Brown’s Chicago office, Emily practiced at the firm’s New York office and, prior to that, at DLA Piper in Silicon Valley where she represented clients in the technology, software, consumer product, health and entertainment sectors.
