Judge Linn and Judge Plager Visit and Inaugural Meeting of the Indianapolis IP American Inn of Court
On Wednesday, September 26th Judge Richard Linn (Circuit Judge, US Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit) and Judge S. Jay Plager (Senior Circuit Judge, US Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit) visited the Maurer School of Law. Students studying intellectual property joined Judges Linn and Plager for lunch and a Q&A session where they were able to get an invaluable insight into the federal circuit.
In the evening Judge Linn and Judge Plager joined the inaugural meeting of the Indianapolis Intellectual Property American Inn of Court at Cummins Inc. to welcome in the new members and provide guidance toward pursuing the goals of the Inn. The Indianapolis Inn was also joined by Chief Judge Magnus-Stinson (Southern District of Indiana), who provided remarks and performed the swearing-in of the Indianapolis Inn officers. We are proud to announce that included in the Indianapolis IP American Inn of Court membership are IU Maurer students Candace Polster, LaShaila Spivey, Mitch Feldhake, Nick Palmieri, Nick Wheeler, Sarah Eddy, Ty Edwards, and Ying Zhu and Professors Mark Janis and Norm Hedges. The eventful day was concluded with a judges panel, which included speakers Judge Linn, Judge Plager, and Judge Sarah Evans Barker (Senior District Judge, Southern District of Indiana).
