Prof. Hedges & Colleagues Honored with FLC’s 2016 State and Local Economic Development Award

We are thrilled to announce that Professor Norm Hedges and Indiana University (along with our colleagues at Crane, the Indiana Office of Defense Development, Purdue University and the University of Southern Indiana) are the winners of the 2016 Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer’s State and Local Development Award for his role in the Rural Indiana Technology Commercialization Initiative (RITCI)!

Launched in 2014, the RITCI is a partnership with the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (Crane), the Indiana Office of Defense Development (IODD), the University of Southern Indiana (USI), Purdue University, and Indiana University. We look forward to continuing our work with the RITCI through our Intellectual Property Clinic.

The annual award is one of the FLC’s highest honors and “recognizes successful initiatives that involve partnership between state or local economic development groups and federal laboratories.”  The award recognizes “hard work and dedication in promoting technology transfer.”
