Mike Morris is an Associate with the firm of Woodard, Emhardt, Moriarty, McNett & Henry LLP in Indianapolis. He practices in all areas of intellectual property, providing services for identifying, procuring, and enforcing intellectual property rights. In particular, Morris has significant experience in the preparation and prosecution of medical device and mechanical patent applications. Prior to earning his law degree, he gained experience in a wide range of engineering positions and disciplines. From performing materials science research on cutting edge shape memory alloys at a national laboratory to implementing lean manufacturing techniques as a production engineer at a manufacturing plant, Morris has worked and participated in IP development in a number of areas. He also has first-hand experience, from a client’s perspective, in dealing with intellectual property matters, as is also an inventor on an issued U.S. Patent. Morris received his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in 2008 from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a major in mechanical engineering, a minor in economics, and certificates in consulting engineering and management studies. He received his J.D. degree in 2011 from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
