Summer Student Spotlights: Emma Ng (’21)

This week in our IP Summer Spotlight series we’re featuring Emma Ng, a rising 2L and incoming Alumni Liaison for IPA.

Emma graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a degree in Human Biology in 2017 and minors in Spanish and Psychology. After graduating from the Maurer School of Law, she plans to pursue a career in patent litigation or prosecution.

Emma is currently working for the Intellectual Property group at Perkins Coie LLP in Beijing through the Stewart Fellowship Program. She focuses mainly on trademark matters for international clients alongside another Stewart Fellow and IPA member, Chenyi Wang at the firm. Emma has been traveling around China and also got to make a trip to Hong Kong during the weekends.

Next year, Emma will be a Dean’s Writing Fellow, and incoming 1Ls can catch her at orientation where she will be helping with a workshop. As always, anyone is welcome to reach out to her with any questions or to meet up for coffee (or bubble tea… she loves that stuff).
