Summer Student Spotlights: Matthew Ritter (’21)

Matthew Ritter is a rising 2L and incoming Social Chair for the IPA. Matthew graduated from Oakland University in Southeastern Michigan with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a degree in Computer Engineering in 2018. He also ran cross country and track and field at Oakland. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in patent litigation.

Matthew is currently working at the Phnom Penh, Cambodia branch of Tilleke & Gibbins through the Stewart Fellowship program. He is focused on a wide variety of issues, ranging from corporate compliance to labor. Unlike our previous posters, Matthew is the sole intern at his firm, but he has been able to meet the other Stewart Fellows on a couple of trips so far. On the weekends, you can find him on a plane, or a bus, to somewhere cool. So far, he has been fortunate enough to visit some amazing places in Cambodia, including Angkor Wat and Kampot.

Look out for Matthew at orientation, in the hallways of Maurer, and beyond and please feel free to reach about anything related to IP @ Maurer!
