Summer Student Spotlights: Payton Hoff ’21

Our IP Summer Spotlights continue with Payton Hoff, a rising 2L and incoming vice president of the IP Association. Payton graduated from Hope College in 2017 with a BS in Biomechanical Engineering. After graduating from law school, she plans to pursue a career in patent prosecution.
This summer, Payton is working for the Intellectual Property Enforcement Group at Tilleke & Gibbins in Bangkok, Thailand through Indiana University – Maurer School of Law’s Stewart Fellows Program. Outside of work, Payton has been traveling around Thailand and other countries in SE Asia with fellow Maurer students and Stewart Fellows Maureen Reidy and Hughie Kellner.

This upcoming school year, Payton will also be on the executive board for Outreach for Legal Literacy, a pro bono program at Maurer focused on educating local fifth grade students on the US legal system.

Feel free to reach out to Payton with any questions you may have about IP at Maurer–she will always say yes to meeting over coffee!
